The tool dictionary was a solo project that required us to make at least 30 slides which would each feature 1 different tool. Each slide had the name of the tool, two pictures of the tool being in active use, one of it was just the tool, 1 sentence describing the use of the tool, and 1 addressing general safety concerns to be aware of while using the tool. I think this project represents information skills because in this project I applied relevant computer and handheld technology and tools across the curriculum to showcase my learning. I'm most proud of my sentence describing the tools because it had to be completely original and I didn't get a lot of information on each tool from the videos he gave us. I learned and developed upon my 21st century skill because the usage of google slides, handheld technology, and handheld tools gave me a new and better understanding to each of them. The most difficult part of this assignment was as I said, creating the definitions for each and every tool. If I were to do this assignment again I would probably give better safety advice. Once I got to slide 10, all the safety advice started to get a bit repetitive and could've used more creativity. This knowledge relates to what I learned in previous years in Mr. Hazlets class, especially the long conversations with us about tools from last year. I can apply the knowledge I have gained from this project in the now-running workshop (AKA Zone 1). So if I ever need to get a wood shop or tool oriented project completed I'll know what I need and how to use each tool.
