This assignment was to test our knowledge on our lessons 1.1 and 1.2. Though we have regular assignments, writing assignments are simple questions that must be filled out step by step with our work shown and formula's used so our professor knows we understand the content. I believe this assignment uses Information Skills. It applies handheld technology and computers throughout this assignment, and integrated a new platform- Pearson MyLab, to apply our lessons curriculum to our work. I think I am most proud of being able to thoroughly understand the content. Though they're easy questions, I was able to keep up with the class and easily answer the questions, which is a hard thing to do in a college algebra course. I developed my 21st century skills by being able to get a better understanding of Pearson MyLab and how the Laulima dropbox works, which I wasn't able to do before. Honestly, like I brushed on above, the most difficult part of this task was figuring out how the Laulima dropbox worked. I was very confused, and it took a while, but then I was finally able to upload my work. Another challenge was writing every thought and formula down for the writing assignment. A lot of the math I can do in my head, or I skip a few steps that I can easily do in my head and move onto the next part of the equation. I think I could improve this task by adding one of the missing middle terms on question 5. I think if I checked my answers with someone ahead of time, or checked my answer before submitting it, it would've been fine. This relates to what I learned in Geometry. In geometry we learned that a domain is x in (x, y) and the range is y. I can apply this to precalculus which I will be taking with Ms. S in Senior year. Pre-Calculus is all about functions, so this knowledge should help me.
